East Tennessee has some of the best trout water anywhere in the country. From our base in Townsend, we have quick access to the streams of the Smokies as well as large tailwater rivers to float. We offer guided wade fishing in the streams and float trips on the tailwaters. We limit ourselves to a maximum of two anglers per guide so we can give each angler a maximum of attention. Great Smoky Mountains National Park has over 700 miles of wild trout streams. These beautiful streams provide wade fishing for colorful fish on a grand scale. While most fish in the Smokies are less than a foot long, they are usually a challenge to hook and are scrappy fighers. Many anglers including ourselves rate the Smokies as their favorite place to cast a fly. The Smokies are one of the last large wild trout fisheries in the eastern US. A day of fishing the mountain streams is more physical than some anglers expect. We'll take you to water that best suits your capabilities. We mainly guide along roadside streams but can hike in to others if it suits you. Our guided floats are a relaxing way to get on the water and hook some nice trout. We float the Clinch, Holston, South Holston, and Tuckaseegee Rivers plus Calderwood Lake. These waters are one to two hours from our base in Townsend and are all full day trips. |
